Membership Information


To join the North Canberra-Gungahlin Athletics Club, an on-line registration form must be completed on the via the North's membership portal

Memberships are for a full year which covers the period 1st October 2017 to 30th September 2018. $10 is the Club fee, the remainder is the Association Fee administered by Athletics ACT.

Subscriptions
  • AACT Life Member$0.00

    A Life Member is a person that has been elected at an Athletics ACT Annual General Meeting. A life member shall be entitled to free admission to all fixtures and events conducted under the auspices of the Athletics ACT and has the right to vote at any general meeting.
  • Gold Membership - Full Year$270.00

    This subscription type provides Athletics Australia insurance coverage to the athlete for the period 1 October to 30 September each year (or part thereof). It is for athletes who are 11 or older as at 31 December in the year that they register. Athletes taking out Gold membership do not pay entry fees to any Athletics ACT competition, including all Championship events, but only if they enter using the On-Line entry system. Where On-Day entry to a competition is available, a Gold Membership athlete who chooses to enter on the day of competition will be required to pay a $10.00 entry fee for that competition.
  • Gold Dual Registration (ACT Little Athletics) - Full Year$140.00

    Dual Registration is only for athletes already registered with ACT Little Athletics for the 2017/2018 season (1 October 2017 to 30 September 30 2018) and only in the Under 12 to Under 17 Little Athletics age groups. To be eligible, athletes must have a birthday between 1 October 2000 and 1 October 2006. Athletes taking out Gold Membership do not pay entry fees to any Athletics ACT competition, including all Championship events, but only if they enter using the On-Line entry system. Where On-Day entry to a competition is available, a Gold Membership athlete who chooses to enter on the day of competition will be required to pay a $10.00 entry fee for that competition. This subscription type provides Athletics Australia insurance coverage to the athlete for the period 1 October to 30 September each year (or part thereof). It is for athletes who are 11 years or older as at 31 December in the year that they register. As you have already registered with Little Athletics ACT, the Athletics ACT registration component of the fee is free.
  • Basic Adult - Full Year$133.00

    This subscription type provides Athletics Australia insurance coverage to the athlete for the period 1 October to 30 September each year (or part thereof). It is for athletes who are 18 or older as at 31 December in the year that they register (ie athletes who would compete in the Under 20 or Open age groups as at the date of registration). Athletes taking out Full membership still pay the standard entry fees for entry to all Athletics ACT competitions, including Championship events
  • AACT Service Merit Member$0.00
    A Service Merit Member is a person that has rendered distinguished service to the Association for a period of at least 20 years and has been elected at an Athletics ACT Annual General Meeting. A service merit member has the right to vote at any general meeting.
  • Basic Concession - Full Year$112.00
    This subscription type is available to athletes who are 17 years of age or under as at 31 December of the year in which they register (ie they would be competing as an Under 14, Under 16, or Under 18 athlete at the date of they register). This subscription type provides Athletics Australia insurance coverage to the athlete for the period 1 October to 30 September each year (or part thereof). Athletes taking out Concession membership still pay the standard entry fee for entry to all Athletics ACT competitions, including Championship events.
  • Basic Dual Registration (ACT Little Athletics) - Full Year$10.00
    Dual Registration is only for athletes already registered with ACT Little Athletics for the 2017/2018 season (1 October 2017 to 30 September 30 2018) and only in the Under 12 to Under 17 Little Athletics age groups. To be eligible, athletes must have a birthday between 1 October 2000 and 1 October 2006. The athlete is eligible to compete at all Athletics ACT and Athletics Australia sanctioned events from 1 October 2017 to 30 September 2018. However, standard entry fees will apply. As you have already registered with Athletics ACT your registration is known as a Dual Registration and no fee is payable to the State Association.
  • Gold Dual Registration (ACT Masters) - Full Year$270.00
    A dual athlete is an athlete that is a member of both the ACT Masters Athletics Club and also Athletics ACT. This member will be entitled to compete at all ACTMA competitions (excluding Championship events). Athletes taking out Gold membership do not entry fees to any Athletics ACT competition, including all Championship events, but only if they enter using the On-Line entry system.
  • Basic Dual Registration (ACT Masters Athletics) - Full Year $123.00
    A dual Masters athlete is an athlete that is a member of both the ACT Masters Athletics Club and also Athletics ACT. This member will be entitled to compete at all ACTMA competitions (excluding Championship events). They will also be able to compete at all AACT competitions (including Championship events) but must pay the relevant entry fee.
  • Accredited Technical Official$0.00
    To be recognised in this category, you must be a nationally accredited Technical Official. In recognition for the service provided, AACT does not charge a registration fee. Insurance coverage is under the Athletics Australia National Insurance Plan. Each accredited technical official will receive the AACT Competition Handbook and a uniform to be worn at competitions.
  • Club Official/Administrator$0.00

    This registration provides membership rights and insurance coverage under Athletics Australia National Insurance Plan. In recognition for the service provided, AACT does not charge a registration fee.


Australian and State affiliation fees - Athletics ACT


North Canberra-Gungahlin Athletics Club receives no cash sponsorship, we raise funds through various opportunities with member support. Only $10 of the fee paid by athletes U14 - Open is provided to the NCGA Club for administrative purposes.
The remaining $fee is retained by AACT and Athletics Australia and goes towards the costs of organising, providing competition and promoting the sport of athletics; also covers insurance costs.

DUAL registration for Little Athletes

Dual Registrations are available between North Canberra-Gungahlin Athletics Club (NCGA) and Little Athletes from 1 October 2016. NCGA welcomes athletes from all areas; DUAL members specifically covers Gungahlin, Corroboree and Belconnen Little Athletics Centres.

WHAT IS DUAL registration?
  • In a joint initiative, Athletics ACT (AACT) and the ACT Little Athletics (LAACT) have made the pathway into senior athletics easier.
  • Dual registration provides the opportunity for athletes aged 11 to 16 to experience the broader world of senior athletics, while still retaining their participation with Little Athletics.
  • The athlete is registered and eligible to compete at all Athletics ACT and Athletics Australia sanctioned events from 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2017.
  • Little Athletes join their Centre first and then from 1 October may take out DUAL membership. To be eligible, athletes must have a birthday between 1 October 1999 and 30 September 2005.
  • After your Little Athletics competition season is finished in March you may still compete over winter at the High Noon Series hosted by Athletics ACT.
  • Dual Registration is only for athletes already registered with ACT Little Athletics for the 2016/2017 season (1 October 2016 to 30 September 2017) and only in the Under 12 to Under 17 Little Athletics age groups.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
  • You may wear your Little Athletics during the Winter High Noon series but for the Summer Series competitor the Senior Club uniform will be required. The athletes designed and choose to wear the NCGA Singlet or Crop Top. .
  • Athletes will be required to wear their AACT competition chest number whilst competing at ALL Athletics ACT meets.
  • This number identifies registered athletes to officials and administration staff.

Officials and Committee, Coaches & Volunteers

The Club welcomes all Officials, Coaches, Administrators and Life Members to re-register annually. It is encouraged to ensure that volunteers in these categories are registered as members of the Club via Athletics ACT and thereby covered by the Athletics Australia Insurance. You assistance is greatly appreciated by Committee and the Athletes. As a registered Official to receive nomination emails form Athletics Australia you need to also register with the AA Official site
